An Examination of the Factors and Challenges to Adopting Gamification in English Foreign Language Teaching

The purpose of this study is to identify key factors and barriers implementing gamification in English Foreign language teaching. In alignment with the study, perspectives teachers (which grades) were obtained. This was designed as a qualitative study. A total 16 participated Structured interview questions used data collection instrument. obtained from interviews analyzed using content analysis. result demonstrated that most use their Language Some who indicated very effective important for teaching they frequently Teachers emphasized games facilitate learning, ensure active class participation, make learning more enjoyable, process efficient. addition, development student skills enjoyable by making lessons interesting. Factors such occurrence problems like irregularities, objections, challenges during game, creation negative competitive environment, extension time allotted noisy environment found be classroom. technical difficulties digital games, lack technology internet, technology, screen, game addiction, health/psychological issues are some main reasons why do not EFL
